Abrolhos Islands

Step aboard the amazing Equador when we cruise the Abrolhos Islands.

The Abrolhos Islands lie around 40 nm (80 km) off the coast of Geraldton Western Australia. Your find this stunning island group on the margin between the warmer tropical waters and the more temperate southern waters of Western Australia. It is not only a global index for marine flora and fauna but is a hub for warm and cold water fish species as well as an aggregation point for many species of Pelagic fish species.

The Abrolhos Islands is a holiday destination and today, we offer fantastic packages and boat tours.

We love to tailor to suit your group of friends and family, so check out what we have to offer. Let us prove to you why our Abrolhos Islands cruises will be the next big hit!

The islands are also steeped in history around the wreck of the Dutch ship Batavia and the murderous times that followed. Provided the weather is suitable, you would have the opportunity to dive on the still very visible wreck site of the Batavia with cannons and anchors still strewn around the seabed. As well as the opportunity to visit the oldest European building in Australia Webbi Hayes’s coral slab fort.  Along with the opportunity to visit the colourful weather beaten shacks of the local cray fishing community, there is a certain charm about this place and its people.

Big Island Charters offers a boat cruise for almost everyone, ranging from family holiday packages, to action-packed fishing and diving charters.
